Hanford Vit Plant subcontractor Anvil International was named Large Business Supplier of the Year by Bechtel at its annual Supply Chain Recognition Awards event.
Anvil was awarded for its commitment to quality work and a strong safety program that support both the Vit Plant and Bechtel. As the Vit Plant’s Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) requirements have evolved, Anvil has embraced the levels of complexity added to the challenging nuclear industry standards and developed new programs to meet project requirements with high-quality deliverables.
CGD is the process companies must follow to produce commercial-grade items that qualify as nuclear-quality materials, also known as “Q” materials. The CGD process ensures materials possess critical characteristics and pass a series of stringent quality tests.
Anvil is headquartered in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and has provided engineered and standard pipe supports for the Vit Plant since 2004.
