Richland, Wash. — The Hanford Waste Treatment Plant Project, also known as the Vit Plant, will hold a career fair to fill more than 200 new positions. The fair will be held Friday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., at the Courtyard by Marriott in Richland.
The Vit Plant is seeking candidates for engineering, construction, project controls, procurement and other support positions. Jobs will be located in Richland, Wash., and Reston, Va.

About the Vit Plant:
Prime contractor Bechtel National, Inc. and principle subcontractor URS Corporation are designing and building the world’s largest radioactive waste treatment plant for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington state. The Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant, also known as the Vit Plant, will immobilize the radioactive liquid waste stored in 177 underground tanks using a process called vitrification.
