Joe has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry and, of these, 35 years in nuclear construction. He has worked on ten nuclear power plants across the country, and he understands how and why safety and quality must be built into a plant. Joe now applies that knowledge to building the Vit Plant at Hanford.
Joe has more than 25 years of experience in the nuclear industry and environmental cleanup, including eight years at Hanford and 12 years at the West Valley Demonstration Project, the nation’s first full-cycle vitrification plant.
Tom oversees the design of the massive Hanford Vit Plant as the production engineering manager. He is responsible for implementing more than 11,000 technical requirements into the design of nuclear facility. It’s a monumental job, but after spending the majority of his 35-year career in the nuclear industry, Tom is the right person for it.
Terry has been with the Vit Plant for seven years and worked on each of plant’s major nuclear facilities.
Ray has been with the Vit Plant for eight years total, most recently re-joining the project in 2010. He currently works as a journeyman pipefitter in the Low-Activity Waste Facility. Previously, he worked in the Pretreatment Facility and the Analytical Laboratory.
Kim has been with the Vit Plant since before Bechtel assumed the contract in 2001, working in a number of positions. She has seen the site change from a field of tumbleweeds to what it is today.
Matt has been with the Vit Plant for eight years. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in nuclear engineering and immediately joined Bechtel and the Vit Plant.
Alice has been with the Hanford Vit Plant for more than two years and with Bechtel for ten years. At the Vit Plant, she is the requirements management subject matter expert (SME).
Sarah has more than 20 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including eight years working as a nuclear reactor operator. She worked at both a Department of Energy test reactor and an operating nuclear power plant.
Felice has more than 20 years of engineering, construction, and project management experience. He has successfully managed complex transportation jobs around the world, including roadways, high-speed railways, airports, and tunnels. He ensured they were completed safely, with quality, and on time, while minimizing impacts to the traveling public.
Tucker has more than 50 years of experience in the construction industry. He has worked in five countries and seven states on a myriad of power industry projects, including nuclear power plant modifications and expansions.
Ian has more than 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry, including four years as the engineering manager at a successfully operating vitrification facility in the United Kingdom.
John has more than 40 years of experience developing engineering solutions in the nuclear industry, and he is a recognized expert in his field.
Linda knows the nuclear industry. She has 40 years of experience, including 35 years working in operating nuclear power plants.
Catherine has more than 30 years of project controls experience and has worked on Bechtel projects spanning six countries and three continents. She has helped manage the cost and schedule elements for major projects from start to finish, including power plants, oil and gas plants, and pipelines.
John has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He has helped build nuclear power plants, coal-fired power plants, and co-generation plants.
Kim has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, project controls, and project management—nearly all have been in the nuclear industry.
Heidi uses her more than 20 years of nuclear experience—in the Nuclear Navy and nuclear power and fuel industries—to ensure safety and quality in the design of the Vit Plant.
Mike applies 35 years of nuclear engineering experience to designing a high-quality and safe Vit Plant.
Virginia has the drive, education, and experience necessary to help ensure quality is designed and built into the Hanford Vit Plant.
Steve applies more than 35 years of engineering and environmental clean-up experience to designing and building the Hanford Vit Plant. He has the right experience to remove the threat of 56 million gallons of radioactive waste currently stored at the Hanford Site.
