Representatives from 50 of the Hanford Vit Plant’s key suppliers and subcontractors attended the first supply chain collaboration event hosted by the Vit Plant Procurement and Subcontracts department. The event was part of the Vit Plant’s continuing effort to ensure quality through increased engagement and open communication with its suppliers.
Bechtel corporate representatives and managers from the Department of Energy Office of River Protection joined the Vit Plant’s senior management team for interactive presentations with question and answer sessions.
“The success of this first-of-a-kind event allows us to open better lines of communication with our key suppliers to help ensure we achieve the quality we need in the parts and equipment we procure for the Vit Plant facilities,” said the Vit Plant manager of Procurement and Subcontracts.
