Suspect & Counterfeit Items

Bechtel is committed to effective controls for the prevention, detection, and disposition of Suspect/Counterfeit Items and Defective Items to mitigate any potential safety threat in the operating complex.

The underlying principle in procurement is that suppliers demonstrate they are capable of delivering items conforming to specified requirements.

Suppliers are required to assure that suspect/counterfeit or defective materials are not provided as part of the Material or Product for delivery under all agreements pertaining to the WTP project.

It is the Supplier's responsibility to provide items free from any suspect/counterfeit or defective conditions.

Suspect/Counterfeit Items (S/CI) and Defective Items (DI) listing:

WTP Quality Assurance maintains an informational listing of Suspect/Counterfeit Items & Defective Items considered applicable to the WTP Project.

The Suspect/Counterfeit Items & Defective Items listing can be accessed at https://wtpsci.bechtel.com which is password protected.

To obtain a username and password to access the S/CI and DI listing, an email will need to be sent to wtpacqui@bechtel.com containing the following information:

Note - All lower Tier Supplier/Subcontractors will be sent a separate email stating their username/password which will expire after 90 days unless an expiration date is specified by the WTP Prime Supplier/Subcontractor.
