Day 1, Melter #2: On the road again

Today, the second 125-ton melter assembly began its 800-mile journey from Ogden, Utah, to the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant construction site, just north of Richland, Wash. The caravan, including the 190-foot-long transporter was on the road by 9:30 a.m.

A media release announcing the departure of the second melter assembly was issued this afternoon.
